VIDEO: ATL Trans Talent Show 7/7/2024

In the summer, comedian Lauren Jones decided to work with the Atlanta queer and artistic communities to put together a trans open mic/talent show. Trans performers ranging from comedians to poets to dancers could sign up and perform a six-minute set of their work.

I signed up and Jones was kind enough to record everyone’s performances. Here you can see performances of “The Collective Name for a Group of Sad Trans Girls Is Called a Discord” and “It’s Not the Heat, It’s the Humidity.”

Special thanks to Lauren, Wild Heaven Brewery, and the trans people of Atlanta.
